Absolutely loved this Korean restaurant! The food was incredibly authentic and full of flavor — every dish tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. The BBQ meats were tender and juicy, and the side dishes were a highlight on their own with so much variety.

I recently visited Mubong-ri Soondae-guk and decided to try their cheese tonkatsu instead of the usual soondae-guk, and I was pleasantly surprised by how satisfying the meal was. The breading on the pork cutlet was perfectly crispy, and once I cut into it, the generous amount of cheese inside melted out beautifully, adding a great visual appeal. The meat itself was tender and not chewy at all, making it a dish that anyone would enjoy, and the harmony with the provided sauce was excellent. Since it is a restaurant specializing in soondae-guk, I didn't have high expectations, but I was truly shocked by the high quality, which rivaled that of specialized tonkatsu restaurants. The savory flavor of the cheese filling the mouth was a real treat. If you are looking for a hearty and delicious meal, I highly recommend trying the cheese tonkatsu at Mubong-ri. I will definitely be coming back!

I tried Haesintang for the first time, and it was such a revitalizing experience that I can confidently say this will now be my go-to nourishing dish. The flavors were vibrant and energizing, truly awakening both my senses and appetite. The generous combination of octopus, abalone, short ribs, chicken, and mushrooms was impressive from the moment it arrived. Each ingredient tasted exceptionally fresh. The octopus was tender and pleasantly chewy, the abalone delicately cooked, and the short ribs and chicken were simmered until the meat fell effortlessly off the bone. What stood out most was the broth. Rather than relying on heavy seasoning, it seemed to be crafted from natural ingredients, creating a deep yet clean flavor that beautifully tied everything together from start to finish. The staff were warm and attentive, kindly refilling side dishes throughout the meal. The highlight came at the end — rice cooked in the remaining broth to create a rich, comforting porridge. Even though I was already full, I couldn’t stop eating. Paired with crisp kimchi, it was the perfect finish. Despite the generous portions, the meal felt wholesome and easy to digest. The seafood hot pot was delicious, and the staff were very helpful with preparing everything for us. The blood sausage was also surprisingly good. Overall, a great dining experience—highly recommend!

I visited Moobongri in Irvine and really enjoyed it! I had the Spicy Sundae Set (Korean blood sausage set meal), and it was delicious. The flavors were rich and comforting. I actually recommend trying it without adding shrimp sauce — it tastes cleaner and more balanced that way. Definitely a great spot for Korean comfort food in Irvine!
